Frequently asked questions
Is Control WMS available as SaaS, on-premises, or both?
Both. Most tenants run the hosted SaaS deployment; operators with strict data-residency or security requirements can deploy the same platform inside their own infrastructure.
Does it work for a single warehouse operator, or only for large multi-site companies?
Both. A single-company tenant and a multi-warehouse, multi-company enterprise run on the same platform — the difference is configuration, not a different product.
Can a 3PL run multiple clients on one account?
Yes. A 3PL tenant can have its own client sub-tenants, each scoped to their own inventory, orders and invoices, with a self-service portal per client.
Is it suitable for food and pharma, or only general merchandise?
Both. FEFO lot rotation, allergen segregation and temperature-controlled handling cover food and pharma; hazmat handling and general slotting cover industrial and non-food goods — on the same data model.
Does it handle expiry dates and lot tracking?
Yes. Lot and expiry data is captured at receiving and enforced at pick time through FEFO allocation, with configurable shelf-life rules per item.
Does Control WMS support manufacturing or kitting operations?
Yes, at the level warehouse-adjacent manufacturing typically needs: component-level kitting, subassembly, production changeover tracking and sequencing — not a full MES replacement.
How many languages does the platform support?
Eight, at the platform level: the interface, in-product help and voice picking are all localized, not machine-translated on the fly.
